It’s the largest, most intact historic shipwreck in Australian Waters 109 meres lengthy and home to mega marine life honest waiting for you to explore. Mystery research shows the Yongala was steaming, no life rafts were found which indicates the loss was sudden and of course sorrowful but we will never know exactly what happened. A Navy vessel did identify a conceivable wreck’ in a mine sweeping mission in 1947 but it was never followed up.
